I couldn't agree more. I am not only proud of my own son, but of everyone who participated!!! It was truly a gratifying experience watching how the students of OKI just stood out, not only with their performance, but with their effort and sportsmanship. Of mention, is the great time we had as parents on the sidelines. What a warm feeling being part of a larger, OKI family, as all cheered not just for our own, but for each others, and all from OKI. What a great time!!!!

First I would like to congratulate OKI students for their hard work over the years. This was our third or fourth tournament and I can truly say that I am proud of each and every one of you who participated. From top to bottom everyone showed the highest level of sportsmanship and demonstrated our karate with pride..For some it was a new challenge , while for others it was a time for growth.. as you can see, hard work and dedication pays off..always remember to be greatful to shihan for his dedication to each and every student.. remember to remain humble.. he will tell you when you are ready for next challenge. so dont ask....believe me he is watching. OKI has come a long way.. thanks to the families who supported their children and made us all one big family..

Thankyou for all the compliments I am humbled by them. A big part of this was the dedication of my staff. I can't do it all , A great effort was made by Sensei's Adam, Joey,Haley, and especially Sensei Cassie. For those who are newcomers like Yellow belts, this is a learning experience which will help you in future tournaments, All students who participated are winners to me, they went in not knowing what to expect and probably out right scared a little bit. The parents got to see some thing rare for them, watching students from other schools perform. Now they can put O.K.I. in perspective. (sorry I had to toot my own horn a little) This is always a stressful weekend for me as you can imangine however on top of this my youngest daughter gave birth this weekend. I would like to give some recognition to a few students who did not get a trophy, and performed like champions. Hearing from a few of the parents Sierra Natale did a great kata and was not rewarded for it. She has become the most improved student I have. Lauren Anhalt was said to have done a great job and not scored high for it. Little Eddy Patsfield, who has come a long way also did very good. I happen to see Caitlin's kata and thought she was underscored. I guess everyone can't win but all in all we did GREAT!!! Thanks to all the parents for their support and great comments.
