I certainly look forward to training with our new students. It is always great to watch people progress and see the learning process in them. It is always good also to help teach, and point things out for them. Sometimes by noticing something that sombody else is doing, it can remind you yourself of that very same thing and you can learn a lot like that. Welcome to all our new students!

Yes I agree it is nice to have fresh blood in the Dojo again. It does tend to slow the class down a little but we get to review our basics and I get to teach the basics again. Some of the upper belts get to go over and teach basics which is a good review for them also. Remember basics is the foundation of you karate. When we travel to N.J. to see my Sensei we always start off with the basics, and basic katas, no one should ever feel they are to advanced to do the lower katas and basics. It is the stepping stones to the belts we wear.

how nice it is to come to class and have no room... 18 adults on the floor from fourth dan to white ..even years ago it was not like this.. it is enjoyable to teach as well as push one another in kumite.. we are lucky to train together.. all sizes and strenghts .. fighting such a random spectrum of students allows for practice in technique as well as self preservation...hope to see everyone more often and watch OKI grow ..thank you Shihan.....Adam
